​ChillHouse Gaming & Collectables — Trade-Ins
Trading in games at ChillHouse is simple, but because every item is different, the process is handled case-by-case by a real person.
Here’s how it works.
How Trade-Ins Work
​First, submit a trade-in request through the trade-in form on the website.
You’ll need to include a few basic details:

• First name
• Last name
• Email address
• The games or items you want to trade
• Any notes about condition, faults, or missing parts

​Once the form is submitted, your request will be reviewed manually. After it’s been assessed, you’ll receive an email response from ChillHouse with the next steps.
In most cases, we’ll also ask for photos of the items so we can confirm their condition before approving the trade.
​ChillHouse currently offers two trade-in options.
Trade-In Values
​• 25% of the estimated market value paid in cash or bank transfer
or
• 30% of the estimated market value as ChillHouse store credit
​Store credit offers slightly more value because it stays within the ChillHouse ecosystem and helps support the store.
​Assessment Time
​Trade-in requests are reviewed manually, so please allow a little time for a response.
​Each trade-in is evaluated individually based on things like condition, completeness, and current market value. Because of that, response times may vary depending on how many requests are being processed.
​Sending Your Items
​Once your trade-in request has been approved, you’ll receive instructions on how to send the items to ChillHouse.
​Items being traded in must be posted to ChillHouse at the sender’s expense.
​Once the items arrive, they will go through a 48-hour assessment period where their condition will be carefully checked to make sure it matches the details provided in the original request.
​Payment will not be issued until the assessment period has been completed.
​If the items arrive and match the described condition, the trade-in will be approved and payment will be issued based on the option chosen (cash or store credit).
​If the condition differs from what was originally described, ChillHouse may provide an adjusted trade-in quote that reflects the actual condition of the items.
You will then have the option to:
• accept the updated trade-in value
• or have the items returned
​If you choose to have the items returned, return postage will be the sender’s responsibility.
​Store Credit (Temporary System)
​ChillHouse is currently developing a full store wallet system that will allow store credit to be automatically stored in your account and used across the website.
​This future system will allow credit to work seamlessly across purchases, trade-ins, and the ChillHouse social community.
While that system is being developed, store credit will temporarily be issued as coupon codes.
​Because coupons are being used as a temporary solution:
• credit will be applied using a provided coupon code
• coupon values will be fixed amounts rather than flexible balances
• coupons will be manually generated and applied by an admin or moderator
This is only a temporary solution while the full wallet system is being built.
​Completing the Trade
​Once your trade-in has been approved and the condition of the items has been confirmed, you’ll receive instructions on how to complete the transaction through the website.
